Cellphones
Cellphones are portable. The first ever cellphone was made in 1940. Two way radios were known as mobile rigs. Mobile rigs were only used in vehicles like taxis, police cars and ambulances.
The first person to have a mobile phone was Prince Phillip. The first fully automatic mobile phone was called MTA.
In 1957 a radio engineer called Leonid Kupriyanovich created the portable mobile phone. In 1958 Leonid Kupriyanovich made his portable mobile phone to a pocket sized phone.
In 1959 a private telephone company was located in the USA.
On April 3 1973 a Motorola worker placed a call to Dr. Joel S. Engel while walking the streets of New York City talking on the first Motorola DynaTAC prototype.
In the 1990’s the second generation cellphones was introduced. In 1991 the first GSM network opened in Finland. Second Generations phone systems were characterized by a digital circuit.
A short time later after the introduction of second generations networks projects began to make third generation systems. The first network with 3G was launched by NTT DoCoMo in Japan.
